The STRONG Manoomin Collective is looking for two new team members to support our collaborative work with Tribal Nations and partners across the Western Great Lakes:

Data Science Partner Engagement Specialist

📍 Remote position based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan or Wisconsin

This role will help build and sustain partnerships, co-develop science implementation plans with Tribal partners, and support education and workforce development at the intersection of environmental science, data science, and emerging technologies.

Data Steward

📍 Durham, North Carolina

This role will support research data management, analysis, visualization, and data infrastructure across our interdisciplinary work, including the continued development of Noondawind and implementation of Indigenous data governance practices.

Both positions offer an opportunity to work across disciplines and organizations on community-driven research focused on Manoomin, environmental resilience, and Indigenous sovereignty.
